We are very glad to announce that PLAYGROUND and RARA will take part at the 60th edition of the London Film Festival, that will take place from the 5th to the 16th of October.
Bartosz M Kowalski’s PLAYGROUND will compete for the Sutherland Award at the First Feature Competition, a category that recognises the most original and imaginative directorial debut. With this second selection, Kowalski’s incendiary feature debut, adds a new important festival after San Sebastian’s nomination.
According to London Film Festival’s organization: «this chilling debut is every bit as disturbing as it should be, featuring distressing scenes of horrific violence yet without ever resorting to crude sensationalism. Cold, controlled and savagely upsetting, this remarkable but incendiary piece of work seeks only to ask difficult questions, not to offer easy answers».
On the other hand, Pepa San Martin’s beautiful coming-of-age tale RARA will take part at the Films in Love Competition.
