Our congratulations to Gerardo Herrero (director and producer of, amongst other Latido films, Carte Blanche, Under Therapy and Raqqa: Spy vs. Spy), who will receive the 2026 Elías Querejeta Award from the Academia de Cine, Spain, as part of the San Sebastián Film Festival. The only Spanish producer that has won both the Palme d’or and the Academy Award. Proud of working with our collaboration with him, a constant source of joy and a great learning experience.
This award was created to recognise outstanding producers in Spanish cinema who take risks in the creative development of their craft, championing the internationalisation of our cinema and the careers of emerging filmmakers. Herrero will collect this award on 22 September at the #74SSIFF with immense gratitude and enthusiasm.Link, Academia de Cine.
