Jorge Torregrossa is one of Spain’s most prestigious producers of television series, responsible for numerous episodes of hits like ‘La señora,’ ‘Carlos, rey emperador,’ ‘Fariña,’ ‘Élite,’ and in 2023, the Netflix blockbuster ‘El cuerpo en llamas.’ For the big screen, he has directed several short films and two feature films. The second of these, ‘La vida inesperada,’ portrays the less idyllic side of the American dream through the story of a Spanish aspiring actor who migrated to New York in search of fame but struggles to get by. When his seemingly successful cousin pays him a visit, a game of appearances ensues in which neither is willing to admit their failures. The screenplay for this movie is penned by the writer Elvira Lindo and was selected for the Malaga Film Festival. It stars Javier Cámara and Raúl Arévalo, accompanied by American actress Tammy Blanchard, known for her roles in films such as ‘Into the Woods’ and ‘La invitación.’ She is an Emmy winner and a Grammy nominee.
