THE REBORN is a thriller written and directed by Santiago Esteves (REY’S EDUCATION, winner of the Films in Progress Award at San Sebastián). With the aesthetics of a border western and the soul of a Greek tragedy, the film blends the tension of FLATLINERS—the boundary between life and death—with the intrigue and betrayals of A PERFECT MURDER. Featuring striking cinematography and an immersive, almost hypnotic soundtrack, the cast is led by Marco Antonio Caponi (NOBODY’S WATCHING), Juan Ignacio Cane (KILLER DEAL), and Spanish actor Óscar de la Fuente, a two-time Goya nominee (THE GOOD BOSS, LA CASA).

Pressed by an organized crime network, Manuel and his brother Óscar spent fifteen years in a risky but lucrative business: helping fugitives disappear by faking their deaths. Using chemical processes, they would leave them close to death, bury them, and then rescue them hours later on the other side of the border between Argentina and Chile. Now, Manuel is retired, working as a rural doctor and about to become a father. But the past always comes back, and he is forced to take on one last job that will drag him into a spiral of betrayal and violence.
