"El Ultimo Traje is a touching and beautifully crafted film that explores the power of friendship and the resilience of the human spirit."
"Pablo Solarz's El Ultimo Traje is a heartwarming and thought-provoking journey that celebrates the importance of embracing life's adventures."
It’s impossible not to be reminded of David Lynch’s The Straight Story while watching this second feature from Argentinian director Pablo Solarz, about an almost nonagenarian Jewish tailor who embarks on a voyage with no clear direction, seeking the man who saved his life during the Holocaust, nearly seven decades earlier. The film alternates between dramatic moments and some touches of almost absurd humour. Miguel Ángel Solá, perfectly characterised, is extraordinary in his role thanks to the excellent support of Spanish actress Ángela Molina.
THE LAST SUIT follows Abraham, an 88-year old Argentinian Jewish tailor, as he sets out on a journey to find the Polish friend who saved his life during the holocaust, more than 7 decades earlier. From Argentina to Poland, forced to cross Europe, along the way, Abraham will meet various characters who will help him in his quest to fulfil the promise he made to his friend. This is the story of a friendship with no limits, a voyage of selfdiscovery. A road movie with planes, trains and cars.
