The tenth feature film by director Gracia Querejeta, eleven-time Goya nominee and one-time winner, adapts the best-selling novel of the same name by writer and journalist Rosa Montero. A love story with touches of crime and family melodrama, where the characters’ study is the key, centering on the weight of guilt and the search for redemption. A project involving the production companies Tornasol, Oscar winner for THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES, and Trainera, responsible for the seven-time Goya winner THE REALM. Leading the cast are two undeniable stars: heartthrob Hugo Silva (SEX, PARTY AND LIES), and Megan Montaner, the lead actress of the hit series EL SECRETO DE PUENTE VIEJO and 30 COINS. The film has been selected for the official competition of the 28^th Málaga Film Festival.

Running away from himself, a mysterious and taciturn man in his 50s suddenly gets off a train in a rundown town and decides to settle there. Tormented by the past and his complicated relationship with his son, his present is unsettling, and his prospects are non-existent. Everything changes when he meets a Romanian woman twenty years younger than him, whose innate optimism brings him back the will to live. But family ties are hard to break…
