Comedy. Directed by JOSE MARIA CABRAL
The award-winner filmmaker José María Cabral (HOTEL COPPELIA, WOODPECKERS, THE PROJECTIONIST) returns with a provocative black comedy, official selection in Tallin Festival, that uses an outrageous premise to deliver a sharp satire on class, privilege and power dynamics between employers and domestic workers. The film stars Fele Martínez, Goya winner for THESIS and internationally known for BAD EDUCATION, TALK TO HER and Netflix’s hit ALPHA MALES.
When their nine-year-old daughter falls mysteriously ill, a wealthy Dominican couple turns to an experimental treatment created from their housemaid Liddy’s feces — without her knowledge. Once Liddy and her colleague Dominga discover the truth, they seize the opportunity to turn the household’s power dynamics upside down.
