A Chilean-Brazilian co-production selected for the Annecy Festival. With a traditional two-dimensional animation style that clearly recalls Japanese anime, Germán Acuña opts for magical realism in a story set on a remote island marked by landscape, history, and mythology. There, the child Nahuel, the son of a fisherman, will unveil several mysteries and learn to overcome his fears with the help of a book he finds in an old country house.
Nahuel lives with his father in a fishing town, yet he has a deep fear of the sea. One day, he finds a magical book that seems to be the solution to this problem, but a dark wizard is after it and captures Nahuel’s father. This is where his fantastic adventure begins: to rescue his father while overcoming his deepest fears.
