Josefa Ferrer and Violeta Dasinski have been close friends for a long time. Josefa, famous and eccentric, is a singer- songwriter from Spain who lives in Buenos Aires. She is interested only in her career and pays scant attention to her family. Violeta restores old buildings, but her husband Eduardo and her desire to have a child are what matter most to her. Eduardo, however, does not want to become a father. She is also in search of her mother´s grave. When Violeta was twelve, her mother Cayetana went to Guatemala, fell in love with a soldier and died in he jungle. Violeta travels to Guatemala and, thanks to the man who was her mother´s partner, discovers Cayetana´s tomb. Violeta returns to Buenos Aires and soon learns she is finally pregnant. Eduardo´s reaction is cold though…
