Spanish director Marc Recha, an unclassifiable filmmaker and a regular at the Cannes Film Festival, crafts a feel-good movie with just over an hour of runtime. This film blends elements of family adventure comedy, a declaration of parental love, and a fantasy fable where reality and fiction intermingle. The movie, selected by the San Sebastián Film Festival, draws inspiration from a story that the director used to tell his son every morning on the way to school. Roc Recha, the director’s own son, takes on the lead role of the boy. Alongside him is multi-award-winning Sergi López, a most popular actor in France.»

In a lonely spot near the sea, a boy flies a kite made by his father. It’s windy and the kite has become entangled in the vegetation. The boy needs an adult to help him keep it flying. Together, lost in the middle of nature, they will launch into the narration of a tale with myriad episodes. A story featuring an ever-hungry giant given its voice by the father, and with whom the young boy will have a long conversation.
