After the great success of ‘Siete mesas de billar Francés,’ director Gracia Querejeta (daughter of legendary producer Elías) and actress Maribel Verdú get together again in a coming-of-age story where a conflictive teenager is sent to live with his grandfather, a former soldier, on the coast of Cádiz in an attempt to reform him, and of course, they end up clashing. The movie, nominated for seven Goya Awards and winner of the Best Film and Best Screenplay (co-written by the director himself and Santos Mercero, son of director Antonio Mercero) at the Málaga Film Festival, marked the first major role for actor Arón Piper, who would later rise to fame with the controversial series ‘Elite’.
Jon is a troubled teenager who has been expelled from school. His mother decides to teach him a lesson sending him away with his grandfather Max, a retired military man who lives in a village by the seaside.
