Colombian filmmaker Laura Mora won The Silver Pyramid, the Special Award for the Best Director for her film KILLING JESUS in the 39th edition of the CAIRO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL. The film also won the FIPRESCI jury prize, awarded by the International Federation of Film Critics.

The 39th edition of the CAIRO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL took place from November 21 – 30 where approximately 175 films from 53 countries where screened.
