Ana Graciani debuts as a director with an adaptation of her own theatrical work, inspired by a novel written by the British author Hector Hugh Munro, better known as Saki. A disturbing and unsettling psychological thriller featuring one of the most daring and unexpected plot twists ever seen on screen, with which the filmmaker aims to demonstrate that evil can lurk where one least expects it. Produced by La Claqueta PC (‘La trinchera infinita’, ‘Mama Cruz’ and ‘Tin & Tina’), the film marks the delightful discovery of the very young actress Adriana Camarena, who delivers a fascinating tour de force alongside the veteran Unax Ugalde (‘Alatriste’).

Rubén, an expat in Japan, has built up something similar to a online relationship with Merche, a woman from Andalusia whom he met briefly during a trip to the coast. Driven by an irresistible urge, he embarks on a very long journey to meet her. When he arrives in Cádiz, he is met by Merche’s teenage daughter, who begins to tell him terrible things about her mother that Rubén was unaware of and could not even have imagined. Meanwhile, the east wind blows fiercely, as if it wanted to sweep away everything Rubén and Merche have built…
