The thriller genre holds a special place among the preferences of producer Gerardo Herrero in his directorial pursuits. On this occasion, he draws inspiration from the novel ‘La muerte lenta de Luciana B’ by Argentine writer Guillermo Martínez, who is also the author of ‘Los crímenes de Oxford,’ brought to the screen by Álex de la Iglesia, with Gerardo himself in charge of production. Co-produced between Spain, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, the movie follows the assistant of a famous writer who witnesses the gradual deaths of her loved ones, suspecting them to be a sinister revenge plot orchestrated by her boss. To unravel the mystery, she relies solely on the help of a journalist. The lead role is played by Manuela Vellés, the muse of Julio Médem in ‘Chaotic Ana.
After ten years, no trace is left in Clara of the young and charming girl who worked for Norman, the famous writer. Following the strange death of her boyfriend and her loved ones, Clara lives under the suspicion that it is all the product of Norman’s methodical revenge against her. With the unexplainable intuition that the cycle of deaths will only end after a seventh victim, she resorts to the only person capable of entering Norman’s sinister universe: Julian, an old journalist colleague. Together, they will attempt to unravel the mystery.
