A satirical and proletarian slice-of-life comedy that unreservedly skewers unbridled ambition and unchecked consumerism. A working-class woman with limited prospects in life sees an opportunity for success when a childhood friend suggests her involvement in what appears to be a foolproof business venture but is, in actual fact, a pyramid scheme. The film’s major attraction lies in its three leading actresses, Victoria Abril, Alexandra Jiménez, and Cristina Castaño, all endowed with undeniable comedic talent and completely unhinged.
Encarna lives in the suburbs; since she was a teenager she has the same job, the same boyfriend and hardly any expectations of change. But when her best friend from high school introduces her to a revolutionary Pyramid scheme, she sees a chance to become rich in a very short time. But of course, the scheme it’s not what it looks like.
