The second feature film by director Belén Macías, an expert in successful television series like ‘Hospital Central’ and ‘La señora’, after her great success with the thriller ‘Verano en rojo.’ MARSELLA is a road movie that explores motherhood, where two women, the biological mother and the foster mother, engage in a battle over the custody of a little girl. When the biological mother regains custody, she embarks on a journey to the city of Marseille in search of the child’s biological father. A movie full of tenderness featuring two lead actresses, María León and Goya Toledo, who were nominated for the Goya Award.
SYNOPSIS
Virginia and Sara are fighting for custody over Claire, who was adopted by Virginia five years ago. A trip to Marseille in search of the father will turn into an emotional and ruthless dispute over their “shared” daughter.
