The director of a major newspaper must decide who will succeed him in the position. There are two candidates; a young woman with innovative ideas and a veteran manipulator who knows all the tricks. One night a very strong storm breaks out that prevents the director and the young female candidate from leaving the newsroom, forcing them to share several hours full of unresolved sexual tension in which they will debate about transcendental issues such as life, death, love, sex and journalism, something that will be key in the final decision. Three-time Goya nominee Ernesto Alterio and Clara Lago, star of “Ocho apellidos vascos”, the highest-grossing Spanish film of all time, maintain a vibrant interpretive duel in this brilliant debut of director Mariana Barassi, produced by Tornasol and selected at the Malaga Festival.
Antonio, the Chief Editor of an important newspaper, must choose a successor between Maca, her close disciple with whom he shares a platonic love and Vargas, a manipulative journalist who knows every trick in the book. Although Maca is the ideal candidate, Antonio has doubts about her ability to handle power. On a stormy Christmas Eve night, forced to stay at the office, they eventually get to know each other better. This intense encounter will be crucial for the final decision.
