Gerardo Herrero produces and directs the film adaptation of the acclaimed novel of the same name by author Lorenzo Silva, winner of the 2004 Spring Novel Prize. The story reconstructs one of the most overlooked chapters in Spain’s recent history: the War of Morocco. The director, a specialist in the war genre (COMANCHE TERRITORY, FROZEN SILENCE, RAQQA: SPY VS. SPY), brings to the screen a spiral of chaos, violence, and absurdity that surrounds every armed conflict. It stars rising young talent Iván Pellicer (known from the acclaimed series QUERER), alongside two exceptional actors: 2025 Goya winner Salva Reina, and nominee Víctor Clavijo.
During the Moroccan War, Juan Faura has a single purpose: to die in combat and be a hero.
