Action, War, Drama. Directed by Gerardo Herrero
Gerardo Herrero produces and directs the film adaptation of the acclaimed novel of the same name by author Lorenzo Silva, winner of the 2004 Premio Primavera de Novela. The story reconstructs one of the most overlooked chapters in Spain’s recent history: the War of Morocco in the 1920s. A specialist in the war genre, with highly praised titles such as COMANCHE TERRITORY, SILENCE IN THE SNOW, and the recent RAQQA: SPY VS. SPY, the director brings to the screen the spiral of chaos, violence, and absurdity that surrounds every armed conflict, using it as a backdrop to deliver a deeply humanist message in one of the least humane settings imaginable. The film stands out for its outstanding production design and meticulous location scouting, and stars rising young talent Iván Pellicer (known from the acclaimed series QUERER), supported by two exceptional actors: Salva Reina, winner of the 2025 Goya Award, and Víctor Clavijo, a nominee for the same award.

Every member of the platoon is killed—except Faura, who comes to learn the value of life.
Fifteen years later, Spain is plunged into a new conflict—the Civil War—and Faura is forced to fight against those who were once his comrades. But he is no longer the man he once was…
