Yet, that is exactly what happens in this heart-wrenching debut film by Belén Funes, featuring Eduard Fernández and Greta Fernández. They bring to life a regular criminal and his daughter, who does everything in her power to distance herself from him. A film that falls within the category of European social cinema, reminiscent of directors like Ken Loach or the Dardenne brothers. Greta Fernández won the Best Actress award at the San Sebastián Film Festival for her role, and Funes was honored with the Goya for Best New Director.

Sara, 22, has just had a baby and wants to lead a normal life with her younger brother. After years of absence and a long period in jail, their father, Manuel, decides to suddenly reappear in their lives. Just as things start to get better for her, Sara will have to make the toughest decision of her life. She will need to ward off her father from her beloved ones or face the fear to start from scratch.
