In a twist on the classic “man on the run” Western, I Passed This Way follows Ross McEwen, a cowboy who drunkenly robs a bank and flees into the arid New Mexico Territory. As famed lawman Pat Garrett and an eager young deputy close in, Ross reaches a remote Mexican homestead stricken by diphtheria. He is faced with a desperate choice- steal their old
mule, leave them to die and make his way to Old Mexico and freedom, or stay and try to nurse them back to health, knowing that the law and a prison sentence will surely catch
up with him?
